The Observatory of Spanish Universities is a permanent platform that promotes critical research, analysis, debate and discussion about public university, in order to provide documentation about university policies. Thus, the objectives of the Observatory, in the field of university policies, are:
All its activity is done on a voluntary basis by its members and collaborators.
Members
All OSU participants are current or former members of the university community: professors, staff and students of the four public universities in Barcelona (UAB, UB, UPC, and UPF).

Although its activity started earlier, the OSU became formally an association on September 26, 2013:

Accounting
The Observatory does not receive any public of private funds. All its income come from the contributions of its members.
